Editorial Policy

Space Scotland publishes reporting and explainers grounded in primary sources. This page sets out how our content is produced and checked.

Sources

  • News is based on official announcements, press releases and published reporting, and every news article links to its primary source.
  • Guides and explainers are built from official and authoritative sources such as government departments, regulators, space agencies and the organisations involved, and every guide lists and links those sources.
  • We do not publish invented events, quotes, figures or predictions. Quotes are reproduced only where they appear in the cited source.

How articles are produced

We use automated tools, including AI, to help draft articles from the source material. Before publication every article is checked against its cited sources, and claims that cannot be supported by those sources are removed. Content that cannot be verified is not published.

Corrections

If something we have published is wrong or out of date, email toast@friedeggs.co.uk with the article link and the details. We review every report. Articles that are inaccurate are corrected or withdrawn.

Advertising and independence

Advertising and sponsored placements are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not decide what we cover.
